VISION AND VALUES
St Clare's is a beautiful school both inside and out, it has an old soul but refuses to stand still.
Our strong curriculum, steadfast pastoral care and enriching extra-curricular programme enable us to provide pupils with the freedom and support to flourish independently.
Our approach is to teach each and every child in the most effective way for them; we call this individualised learning. At the heart of this approach is our ability to understand precisely where your child is on their learning journey.
In choosing St Clare’s as a school for your son or daughter you are ensuring that they are educated in a nurturing environment and will realise their full potential.
FACILITIES & LOCATION
We have a dedicated Sixth Form hub
We have created a university-style environment where students will learn to work independently while being supported and guided on an individual basis by our excellent Sixth Form team.
Students have access to a dedicated Sixth Form hub, resource centre and their own kitchen which they will take ownership of on a day-to-day basis.
Studying and socialising takes place in the vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere of our Sixth Form centre, the hub of our Sixth Form community. Students are also allocated a HP ProBook X360 solely for their use.
Sixth Form students enjoy their own dedicated parking area.
ENRICHMENT PROGRAMME
We promise a Sixth Form experience full of opportunity.
Whether travelling overseas on one of our international residentials or taking part in a enriched curriculum activity, we encourage adventure. There is plenty of adventure and opportunity to learn new skills and develop confidence at school as well.
Our first-class self-development programme, abundance of extra-curricular activities, academic and non-academic societies, socials and networking opportunities with our Cognita Sixth Forms in Northampton and London, and support for student wellbeing, makes our Sixth Form best placed to ensure a successful future.
We have extensive industry links for work experience and placements as well as professional support and guidance in preparation for university. This includes our Sixth Form team who support future career pathways and offer specialist programmes for those applying to Oxbridge.
We also offer a range of clubs including ethics, investment banking, STEM, football, netball, rugby, cross country and many more. Duke of Edinburgh Awards add to the richness of the offer.

SIXTH FORM TUTOR TEAM
Our tutors forge strong bonds with our students.
Our commitment to offering individual attention through small tutorial-style groups and specialised teaching delivered by experienced subject specialists - including Edexcel and WJEC (formerly the Welsh Joint Education Committee) examiners and moderators - enables each student to reach their academic potential and feel happy and secure.
What sets St Clare’s Sixth Form apart is the dedication of staff to creating the optimum environment, culture and ethos to encourage and nurture the very best from every student. Our highly regarded and experienced Sixth Form tutor team is fundamental to the good relationships we form together.
Understanding each student as an individual, delivering excellent pastoral care and enabling students to achieve their own goals are the priorities for Sixth Form staff.
Our aim is to equip every student with a toolkit to navigate their way in the modern world, and to be resilient in the face of the many challenges posed in our fast-paced society.
Our engagement event is designed to welcome new students and their families to the St Clare's community. The event provides a chance to meet our headteacher, talk with subject specialists, learn more about Year 12 and understand what will follow in Year 13.
